Hi! My name is Andie, I’m a masculine leaning enby person and I’m pre-transition. I live in a pretty transphobic and abusive household. Despite this, I’m trying to not only transition but go to prom with one of my best friends in some type of men’s formalwear. My parents, however, have refused to pay for my prom outfit unless it’s a dress or women’s clothes, which is seriously upsetting to me as they know I’m trans, and know the way they’re treating me is bad for my mental health, but don’t really care.
They’ve created a pretty toxic environment for me with constant deadnaming, misgendering, and lack of support in my pursuit to transition and present more masculinely
On top of that, they are refusing to let me get a job and threaten to take away my car and phone if I try and go against their word, leaving me with no method of paying for my suit/tux/dress clothes for prom, or anything that could help further my transition.
Any help/donations are greatly appreciated, and if you can’t donate please reblog this. It would seriously mean a lot to me, no matter the amount and even if I don’t reach my goal for being able to piece together an outfit for prom, it’d all still benefit my transition.
